Paviluv of Pavlova

Salam Jumaat and Salam to lovely people of Earth.

i should be updating this in my previous post. but it looks kinda messy when you add in all bunch of stuffs in one post. Hence i'm writing here about my first attempt of Paviluv.

whopp! Paviluv is my own version of Pavlova. the difference is when the usage of WHIPPED CREAM is a NO NO. Because i dislike WHIPPED CREAM. i kinda hate that thing. even if i go to Starbucks i would be veryyy mad if my frappucino has that thing curling in my drinks. So, to make my Paviluv eatable, i have substitute the cream with something else. i mean something that i eat.

you need the recipe? well..this is just the simple one i tell you. it tastes like marshmallow or cotton candy. that was the first impression when i tasted the base.

Base for Paviluv
1. 4 eggs white
2. 3 tbs of corn starch
3. 3/4 cup of sugar
4. 1 tbs of vinegar
5. a little of lemon / orange zest (Optional)

The Garnishing
1. 2 cups of Nestle Yogurt (Own choice of flavor)
2. Whipped Cream
3. Fresh Fruits

P/S: number 1 and 2 is optional. for me, i go for number 1 :)

How to Make?
1. Reheat your oven at temperature of 130' C
2. Carefully separate the eggs white. not even a bit of the yellow eggs should be included. Beat them until it gets smooth, silky and shiny mixture.

3. Reduce the speed of the mixture and add in the sugar. Note that 3/4 cup of sugar is sweet enough for those who dislikes consuming too much sugar. so my advice is 1/2 cup is suitable to be served to those who concerns on sweetness.

 4. Add in the corn starch and vinegar. Beat the mixture with high speed. final touch would be little bit of orange or lemon zest. You can also use vanilla essence to replace the zest. it depends on you. I used lemon zest since i hate the smell of the vanilla essence.

okay.. your mixture is done! it looks cute because the mixture is so fluffy. they didn't not fall from the bowl and i can say my meringue has actually succeeded. hehe

don't forget to put butter on your tray! then, scoop the baby out onto the tray and mold them accordingly. I did make spiky spiky form on the surface so it didn't really look flat all the way.

tadaa. Ready to bake.
NOTE: the beaten mixture should be baked directly. do not leave it to rest or the meringue will not rise up during the baking process. So, bake it at 130'C at about 30 minutes.

so tadaaa. it should look like this. see the spiky spiky hair? the mixture actually rise up and occupied the space along the tray. this is why you should be baking them immediately after placing them on the tray.

yeap. it's fragile. very soft.. like i said, it's cotton candy baby! it shrink a little bit because i didn't garnish them immediately.

so.. for the garnishing.. just pour the yogurt on top of the base. make sure it is all covered. then, place the fresh fruits on top and decorate accordingly. You can also use whipped cream, *if you're a fan of it*.. actually it looks better with whipped cream because it is more solid than yogurt. like i said, it depends on your appetite. you can use either one of those because what matter is the base. my cousin even said, should try it with ice creams. maybe can consider that, next time ;) .. i didn't get to snap the whole Paviluv since there was a bit accident that night. Since this is the only part left, i decorate them just like that.

Alhamdulillah. daddy mummy love it. i love it too. my next mission is to try making it in mini forms.
will try them on my next homecoming.
happy baking.
:)
