Postponed Entry: September Singapore - USS

Salam Peeps ! :)

I am really bored right now after hitting the keyboards to touch up my literature review. heh, i'll talk about my master project later on.. i'm not in good mood now since i have high fever since last night. Updates on the flood? I'm not sure for now. But it was heavy downpour these two days. hopefully everything goes well and back to normal :)

I've been reading few blogs.. their blogs are cool but it was kinda cramp with lots of stuff. I do not wish my blog to turn out something like that. hehe.. But what inspires me was, to update on the places that I've been to. It's kinda cool because it made me more appreciate the chances I had in visiting new places. Although it was only within Malaysia. who cares.. that's my chance of sight-seeing! hehe..

so, on 12th September ago.. i made my way to Johor because my dearest sister; Kibby came all the way from KK. yup, it was on her birthday and co-incidentally the fair for BKI-JHB-BKI was really cheap. Unlike the normal price which BKI-KUL-BKI is lots more cheaper. Since it was her month of joy, she wanted to experience herself to Singapore. To be exact, she wanted to have one night stay in Singapore. 

We reached JB on Thursday, and dear Mr SQE came to pick me up at Hentian Sri Putri. He was sick that day and he got half day leave. But he was never too sick to see me aite? ngehehehe.. At the mean time, Kibby and kak Airin reached around 7pm and they made their way to the hotel by cab. (they supposed to come in three persons but kak Mar couldn't make it. Hence, just the two of them..) Mr SQE took me to the hotel and met Kibby there. We were so reluctant to join Kibby and her friends for dinner. So, i asked to be excused and let Kibby go out with her friends. They had dinner somewhere at Kempas, I guess? While me and Mr SQE had ours at Stulang.

For our first night in JB, we stayed at Amansari Hotel, City Center, just opposite to City Square and CQI. After dinner, we tumpang our big bags and luggage in Mr SQE's TAL, whilst we only backpacked our 1 night necessities for Singapore. 

before i start, i'm warning you that there will be lots of pictures stuffed here. and there might be some without their stories. but i'll just give short caption. (if rajin la.. :D).. me, Kibby and kak Airin did pujuk Mr Sqe to join us. but yala.. orang kuat kerja..(salute!) hehe.. so for 1 day and 1 night we didn't text.. rindu glakkkk...ada la 1,2,3 messages.. aik? :p

13th September - Friday.

and the journey begun..

so had our brekkie at the hotel itself. makan kanyang-kanyang and of course, tapau dalam tisu sikit-sikit untuk bekal. because i know, once reaching Singapore it might be kinda hard for us to eat. lagi-lagi it was our first time. no clue where to eat and so on. so after brekkie, made our way to CS. Kibby asked the receptionist, what is the direction to CS. pening-pening jugak la. belasah jak..

Belakang sia macam mo patah sudah tu. itu la senyum begitu. barat ba itu beg. ni dapan hotel a..

so mo pg CS, have to cross the jejantas. ikut hati mo jak pecut. tapi, ni bukan tampat kami kan. lagi-lagi ada warning kena saman. buat apa derma sama pulis, jadi kami pun guna la kemudahan yang ada. ngos-ngos naik tangga. pastu. ndak tauk direction. bilang tu receptionist, belakang CS. tapi we were not sure. sia jadi.. dengan skema nya, turun bawah tanya abam polisi yang kerek mo mampus. ish.. what is wrong with giving right navigation.. bila sia tanya, dia bilang pusing jak belakang. padahal i did mentioned, "kalau dari atas ada laluan tak?" dia dengan selamba jawab, "tak. lalu belakang ni lagi dekat.." okla.. kami tawaf la bawah CS tu.. sampailah..

 jumpa ni.. lagi syiok kalau boleh nek tren kan? tapi... hmm. shhh.. ni dugaan sia la :p

haa. nampak parking yang pusing-pusing sebelah kiri tu? itu laaa.. CIQ yang dicari-cari. mati kutu jap tengok. I didn't see any access. maybe my fault la ndak tengok betul-betul ka apa. terpaksa jugakkkk doe masuk CS balik. grr. CIS CIS KACANG PIS BETUL. kalau tauk ini macam aa, dari dapan tadi sia masuk seja.


so, len kali kalau mo pg CIQ dari CS, pg 3rd Floor, near Baskin Robbin. ndak la near betul. tapi kalau ada nampak BR tu kebarangkalian betul tu tinggi sudah. kalau ndak silap kedai game ka kedai baju sebelah laluan pg CIQ.. tengok la signboard! Jangan malas. kekeke

haaaa. kalau ada nampak ni, betul la masa depan :p

okla. bai kakak. :p dan disinilaaaa kisah klasik berlaku.. ada nampak little bluebag yang kibby pakai tu. memang dia pandai. sampai jak CIQ terus putus sebelah aaa.. sebelah tali dia putus yang teda harapan sudah ni.. tapi kibby sikut seja... ba.. apa lagi mo bikin sikut... jalan seja la.. :D


pictures and videos are prohibited in CIQ ok.. the inside was cool~ ala-ala overseas la kunun. pusing-pusing cari la bas.. actually ndak tauk jalan, tapi time ni la kena ringan kan mulut. dan yang menjadi mangsa bertanya tu harusla MMOI. yala. jalan mo free. harus la kerja sikit. ingat upah free free? kehkehkeh. ba.. i asked the guard? police? ndak taukla apa peranan dia. but he told me there's two way for you to go RSW - Resort Sentosa World (USS).. First is get the bus directly to RSW and the second is get any interchange bus. of course la mo pg directly kan.. but too bad, the bus at 11am to RSW kunun rosak. so to save time, we just took the bus to Woodland, and turun la at the first bus stop in Woodland. Niat di hati memang la mo try all of the public transportation there. but too bad, kak Airin tia mo. so, most of them we took cab. (kaya gilak derma duit sama taxi driver..)

once we get into Singapore, the bus will drop us at the Woodland Checkpoint. here you need to fill in one form, you can get it there. and please, make sure you brought a pen along. If you have a pen you can save your time! i did bring my pen but too bad it was at the most bottom part of the full bag. so kibby end up had to kurik kurik the bag. owh, passport don't forget too!

after the immigration clearance, you need to go down and wait for the same bus. Noted, not the same bus but you need to get the bus with the same number that you took earlier on. it was so crowded that time. 

Just got into Singapore after the checkpoint.

We got down here. this is near the Woodland Train Station. So next time,i want to ride the train from JB to here. where to stop can be decided later on.

so i admit, the town is clean..

can you see the choot chooooot train? some sort like KTM. i guess so...

This supposed to be the place where we should get down but too bad kibby and kak airin didn't believe me. when we saw Woodland after we passed by this then we decided to get down. had to walk quite a distant though. maybe 500m.. like i mentioned, took a cab at Woodland Train Station and made our way to USS..


i was asked to sit in front. zzz. kibby and kak airin slept and i had to open my eyes since that uncle was explaining how to get back from USS, experience the cable car and bla bla bla. i finally knew that we can use cable car (monorail i know la...) but looking at kak airin's reluctant look to commute using that, so i ought to forget. Next trip la.. so the cab fare from Woodland to USS? mengucap panjang.. $40++..uhu.. ba cannot say anything la. memang pakai meter, lagipun kinda distant la. though itu uncle macam mong cha cha when i said USS. he did even teach us on choosing the cab. paling mahal punya warna biru ya..

ba.. sampai jak RSW. sia nampak sudah tuuuuuuu monorail punya railway. you really can see it. ala-ala Genting la gittew.. memang santiki la. cuma that day mendung ni. bilang uncle tu, "your lucky it's sunny day today.. not going to rain.."

padahal me and kibby mula-mula memang ndak mo teruskan pg USS because it was already passed 12. macam rugi. ingatkan mo pg besok dia seja.. tapi. kak airin insist. ba, kami pun ikut seja la. sia lagi la teda kuasa veto kalau sudah kibby pun kalah :D

haa..sampai sudah.

so this is RSW? or USS. I'm confused. well, this is Lake of Dreams la. :p

RSW.. there are lots of nice scenery for you to snap your moments. we walked around and looked for restrooms before we start. Then suddenly, it started to rain very heavily..

kibby. see my bag? still staying strong. :D time ni hati kami sudah macam hancur jadi asam keping because ujan kan. tapi fikir-fikir balik. ah redah jak. sudah sampai pun. ada jugak payung. apa susah.

hehe.. ni Merlion Park versi RSW. kunun la cita-cita untuk pg Merlion Park ndak tercapai kan. ada jugak yang ini. 

Well. this time Ujan sudah slow down so time to smile and enjoy!

there are lots of shops here. we didn't go there, only passed by some. due to time constraint so we decided not to waste a minute of our time outside. what i remembered clearly was, there's a TGIF outside the USS entrance.

tadaa.. ticket sudah baeli.. apalagi. jom masuk! btw, the price was a i think around $70/pax. do your own maths. (of course she paid for her adik kesayangan ni.. *ndak malu punya adik :p*)

moh la kita berpesta. *pesta la sangat MMoi....*.. oho.. see my bag? still kuat though only sebelah tali seja..

haaa!! this is it. i was eyeing on these creatures! lagi-lagi yang warna blue and yellow tu ya. i knew ada makhluk transformers punya bottle ni from my cousie, Faranaila. she went here too early this year. so i have already kept my eyes on that. but, fikir-fikir balik. tia mo la. bagus beli baju. hehe.

so this is the monorail that you can take from this mall.. i forgot what's the name. Vivo Mall? haa. gitu la nama dia. so if happened you're from Vivo Mall, you can take this monorail to USS. it's free i guess. I don't remember paying anything masa balik tu. eh? :p

there are a number of areas in here. New York, Ancient Egypt, Chinatown, Fiction and Non Fictions (If i'm not mistaken), Far Far Away, Jurassic Park and many more. Scroll down to stroll around xP

first street: New York @ Hollywood. Dan masuknya kami di New York, my blue bag pun terus innalillah wainnalillahirojiunnnn... hehe. tapi untungla putus sini. kibby without hesitation terus ganti beg adik dia. beg USS. kerlas ko jah. it was $39 (gitu la..) nevertheless, i didn't take the bag with me. Biarla kibby yang pakai. she deserve that more than me. :) sia pakai biasa-biasa seja.. 

nampak tuuu beg yang dia sikut tuu. tu laaa dia beg USS tu. my blue beg selamat masuk sana. haha.. awal-awal lagi jumpa sama si panda ni.. cute.. very friendly punya. 

oh. Betty Boops! Sia suka ni katun..tapi ndak lawan cinta sama tu Hello Kitty la :p

We were at Sesame Street. Our favorite cartoon. yala, hari-hari tinguk ni jak dulu, mana da katun yang advance macam sekarang.. *Elmo is there.. :)* ndak masuk pun hokey. ada orang ndak mo. rugiii.. :D

hehe. Me want Cookie Monster!!! Sia memang hantu biskut. mesti ada biskut for brekkie ka apa. and, someone said this to me last time.. "Cookie Monster dalam msg comel. yg dlm tv jht. sume biskut die nak.." hehehe.. i still remember that :)

Kibby and Oscar the Grouge. now i realized, Pumpkish punya muka ada iras-iras Oscar. ahahha

so this is the Public Library. at that time so many people were sitting down there with their toddlers and family. we came just in time for.......


SESAME STREET SINGING PERFORMANCE!!!!! wuuhuu. so excited to watch especially when the first to came out was;

ELMO!!!!!  *this made me almost wept..*

tadaaaa. hehe. aren't they just adorable. finally my dream to see them came true!

eheh. my favorite and so called me; Cookie Monster.. hehe adorable darling..

then, made our way to the next stop.. something to do with Fiction section; Transformers.

 too bad couldn't ride that roller coaster because it was under maintenance. sad.sad.sad.

i really want to ride this. i shall come again. *Kumpul laa duittt. aigoo....* .. oleh sebab perut sudah nyanyi dangdut. maka kami stop kajap. beli seja la yang murah punya. mashed potato and giant sausage, with ice blended coke. (free bottle, and free refill). it was $15.. bekalan dari Amansari sudah selamat masa mula-mula masuk tu. so ini kira second round la.. makan sampai licin and sedut tu cola capat-capat supaya dapat refill. hehehe. rugi ba ndak refill. +_RM30 tuu.. 

so we were at the Ancient Egypt. the bottle that kibby holding was the one we bought along with the food.

yours truly. keberatan beg macam mo patah tu belakang. and camera berat macam mo putus leher. mo letak dalam tempat bag tu.. rugi. first half an hour ka one hour macam $3 ka $5. lupakan dulu. but since we wanted to play the game inside, we had to keep our bags and camera inside the locker.

the game was damn cool. almost like indoor roller coaster, but it was dark and fulled with myths and suspense. we shouted with our might.. hehe. though it was scary, i love it. i wish to play again someday.

these dudes scary. tiba-tiba pandai macam mo hambat orang sama tu galah. haha..nasib mmoi with kibby. kak airin sampai teriak-teriak.hahahah

After Ancient Egypt is Jurassic Park. Kunun mo main but the games look kinda childish. but then again, so many people queued to play here.

time ni lapar..lapar tahap kritikal sudah. we stopped by one cafe. but they serve the veryyyyy typical Malaysian food like nasi ayam penyet, yeemee apa benda ntah. geleng kepala. cari lain..

hohhh. jagaaa. ni dinosaur iduppp..haha. growling macam mo makan orang.haha. its a SHE ok. 

puas sudah picture sana and jalan-jalan. so we finally reached the last one; Far Far Away.. Far Far Away is like the fairy ones. ada princess, gingerbread man.. Madagascar. Shrek..

the so called last "kampung"

ahhh. sudah tia tahan. sudah alang-alang mo kemih (shhh shh), hence kita rehat dan makan la di Goldilocks ni.. nothing much pun menu dia. more to western style. fried chicken, fries, nuggets, etc.. for me and kibby, we took the children's menu. Papa bear ka apa.. chicken drumstick and fries.. makan jak la. reason why i choose this was because.....

HEHEHEHHEHEHEHE. TOLD U. ndak dapat tumbler or bottle transformers ndak pa. yang finting ini kotak mesti amik. hahahaha. NOW YOU KNOW HOW SNEAKY I AM.. :p punya la ni orang.. Mr SQE nampak this box (Ah Mer) pun geleng kepala.. mesti dia pun ndak sangka gf dia ni macam budak. hahaha.. nasib la.. gembira nyaa Tuhan jak tauk. kekeke.. and thanks kibby sebab faham adik dia yang ndak berapa betul ni. :p makan itu jak la. that chicken and fries cost us $9 okey? so jangan bazir. ok what dapat Ah Mer. :p since ada bottle ajaib, so the drinks was free to be refilled :)

kenyang makan. ndak payah kluar bunyik. it was already 5pm. another 2 hours left untuk pengsan diri dalam ni. hence, picture! bak kata kak zah, kibby here waiting for her prince. ehemmm.. hehhe

Shrek shrek.. ada satu orang jak yang begituuuuuuuuuuuu la jahat panggil sia Shrek suatu ketika dulu.. melekat plak nama tu..haha.. everytime i see Shrek, i remembered you :) siapa lagi kalau bukan si Mr SQE.. punyaaa la dia suka aim sia duluuuu... :D tapi tepa.. janji bahagia sekarang. haha

sebab tidak mo rugi. maka kita main la apa-apa game yang ada. this is what i called, fairy version of roller coaster. hehe. not that spinny-spinny like the usual ones. well. you won't be able to even hold your camera at the usual ones but for this one, i snapped this. so it's not risky like the usual ones.

Puss!!! Funny kibby didn't notice Puss walking beside her. I was screaming hysterically then she realized.

the "Perkampungan" Madagascar :) so tropical and so.. Hawaii style..

we didn't want to miss playing the boat here. looks cool though not many people there. da alang-alang masuk kan, main seja.. rugi tia main..

felt like it was just a minute ago i went inside. seems like we went the whole towns in there. it was getting very late and shows the sign to go home..

it was getting dark so we made our way to the first souvenirs' store. we bought some tee's and of course, fridge magnets for home.

so.. we ended our visit after shopping.. and made our way out. it was 7pm already and many people also made their way out. so this time, me and kibby decided to take the monorail since i have no idea where to hail a cab. we just followed the crowds, and headed to Vivo City.. Like I said, i don't remember paying anything for the fare.

as soon as we got out from Vivo, i saw this. OMG. Magnum is daddy and kibby's favorite. if we only have the time to visit, i'm sure she's gonna get one of the most weird ice cream. :D

we need to walk a little bit but we ended up in another mall. kibby was urgently looking for money changer and i ran around to find one. kak airin was the one queuing for cab. the money changer was somewhere in first floor, it's a kiosk. quickly changed our money and back to our queue. it was really longggg queue i tell you. unlike here, i think the cabs are the one waiting for us. hehe.. waited for almost half an hour, got our cab and made our way to Kawan Hostel in Dunlop Street, Little India. it really was tiring one.

hurmm.. the hostel was fine. the owner is friendly. but i just didn't like the atmosphere there. so crowded and scary. it's situated just opposite Sin Lin Mall (the gadget heaven...). we did walked around but it was super scary to see so many foreigners catching eyes on us. really didn't know what to get for dinner, so me and kibby ended up getting instant noodles for us and rice for kak airin. we bought the noodles at 7E. i am really grateful that i am able to speak mandarin and read the chinese characters. because you know what? i almost took PORK FLAVORED INSTANT NOODLE. (mo pingsan...) cepat-cepat letak and look for ayam or sayur or kari. redho jak tho rupa dia ndak sedap. daripada accident makan bakas? adedeh... otw balik hotel tu sempat skodeng Magnum, and i got myself assorted berries flavor. nanti la baru tunjuk.
